Here is a beautiful example of the most desirable year of the early Chevrolet Nomad 2 door sport station wagons. This is a body-off restoration of a California assembly plant car that has never been rusted or damaged and still retaining its original, numbers matching drivetrain. Quite rare and correct in its exterior color of Matador Red and not a two-tone paint finish car as is most often seen. Interior is totally redone and correct in the red-black combination as specified on the cars trim tag. Powertrain is the 283cid Power Pack 4-barrel, dual exhaust motor mated to a rebuilt Powerglide automatic transmission. This Nomad is highly optioned including power steering and brakes, tinted glass, Wonder Bar radio, deluxe spinner hubcaps, Chevrolet exterior sun visor, rare correct dual functional spotlights and fender skirts. A very thorough and correct restoration was performed at great expense in recent years and the car has been mechanically sorted to be enjoyable and reliable to drive, although very few miles have been accumulated since completion.
