This GTO's authenticity is documented by the Pontiac Historical Society. Paperwork goes to buyer, including a copy of the original manufacturer's sale sticker. This car is an excellent original car with all original sheet metal that is in beautiful, perfectly straight condition. The high-quality paint job was done in the original Montereo Red color and still looks virtually brand new. The engine is an original numbers matching 389cid block with dual exhausts and an original Muncie 4-speed transmission. The car was delivered with a 4-barrel carburetor, but was converted to Tri-Power shortly after its original purchase. The Rochester carburetors are correct to the vehicle and were rebuilt to new quality by The Old Carb Doctor approximately one year ago. The engine was rebuilt approximately 14,000 miles ago by Pontiac guru, Greg Merrick. Other original options include Rally gauge cluster and tachometer, bucket seats with console and power steering. Original dealer warranty booklet and Protect-O-Plate comes with car. The seats, dash and headliner are original and in excellent condition. The car has new, less than 500 miles, redlined radials that look like the old redlined bias ply, but ride so much nicer. It also has gorgeous Crager S/S rims that are period correct. The buyer will also receive a complete Gardner exhaust system that is correct to the car and has never been used. This car was featured in a commercial advertising the "American Muscle Machines" car show approximately two years ago.
