Description: 1960 Morris Minor Pickup Truck
$26,000 2008 Barrett-Jackson Auction Scottsdale AZ
The "Moggy Truck", as they became affectionately known in their homeland, was the work of Alec Lissigonis, who would go on to design the Mini. The engine is a 4-cylinder, Inline overhead valve, 948cc rated at 37hp with a 4-speed transmission. This left-hand drive Morris was sold new in Longview, Washington. It was purchased in 1994 from the original owner by Jim Smalley of Silverdale, Washington, who drove it as a fun weekend toy. He then sold it to Ken McBride of Seattle, Washington, in 2004. Mr. McBride did a total restoration on this truck to use for promotion in his business, hence the modern wheels and tires. In 2007, Mr. McBride sold a package of cars from his extensive collection to the current vendor. Great history and a very expensive restoration make for a show ready, excellent driving Morris Minor 1/4 Ton truck.
