1968 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible
$80,000 2008 Barrett-Jackson Auction Scottsdale AZ
Has been restored frame-off. With its powdercoated frame, this project has taken 18 months with a restoration cost of $80,000. The car was manufactured as a 427/435hp. The non-matching numbers 427cid/435hp engine has been rebuilt and fitted with a new aluminum serpentine system. The motor is fueled by the original triple carb. The car has been fitted with a new Be Cool aluminum radiator with a custom-built aluminum radiator support. Steeroid rack & pinion steering has been fitted along with Vintage Air conditioning. The car has Wilwood brakes 14 front and 13 rear. The wheels are Budnik 20x10 rear and 19x8.5 front. The body has had a full strip and paint. All glass has been replaced. Chrome is all new including windshield frame. This Resto-Mod has a full new interior with a upgraded sound system.
