This is an original 1956 Chevrolet Corvette Basket Case, with approximately 100 body modifications to every area. Some of which include: Windshield chopped/laid back/frameless, Cowl smoothed, vent removed, Hood humps reversed and opened, Fake brake vent removed, Front end lengthened 2 1/2 inches, Headlight rings molded and Frenched, Parking lights removed and smoothed, Bumpers removed and smoothed, Lower valance smoothed, Grill opening molding molded, 62 nose emblem floated into grill opening, turn signal inside headlights, air vents in front of hood opening, inner fenders reshaped and smoothed, firewall reshaped and smoothed, all exterior chrome and stainless removed, door handles hidden, remote power hood, all wheel opening reshaped, gas filler removed, convertible top/flip lid/trunk lid/lower valance molded together and remote power.
The engine includes: C5 Corvette LS1, Polished intake by Weind , Holley, Nitros Oxide by Nex, Pulleys/air cleaner/header by Street and Performance, Carbon Fiber engine covers by Ecklers, Stainless engine trim fabricated, Remote operated hood fabricated, Polished aluminum radiator, SRV graphics, Drive Train C5 Corvette, 4L60E Auto Trans, shortened torque tube and driveshaft, Audio System by Sony, most components hidden to retain the clean look.
The Chassis includes: the original 56 side rails were used with the stamped vin # retained, remainder was hand framed tube chassis, Stainless brake, fuel lines, Trans cooler, Stainless exhaust, Flowmaster mufflers. The front suspension consists of Jim Meyer racing control arms, SIO spindles modified by Baer Brakes, Flaming River Steering Rack, Borgson Joints, Coil over shocks, The Rear suspension consists of Custom fabrication and C5 Vette, 4 coil over shocks, and narrowed C5 Axles.
The front brakes are by Baer with 12" Rotors, the rear brakes are C5 calipers with 14" Baer Rotors, and the Master Cylinder is transverse mounted under dash. The wheels are Colorado Custom Alcatraz 18 x 8 in the front and 20 x 12 in the back. The taillights are molded into body, the rear bumpers removed and smoothed, and the rear license plate is electrically operated. All under body areas smoothed and finished.
The interior had the: dash straightened and smoothed, New digital dash cluster made from the original speaker grill bezel and steering column bezel, relocated to fabricated center console (by Dakota Digital), Tilt steering by IDIDIT, Steering wheel by Colorado Custom, All switches and controls hidden, Billet pedals/shifter, Door panel coves molded from door exteriors to match outside body lines, Upholstery is black leather by Ultimate Interiors. The trunk area is power operated, has a Stainless fuel cell, Audio amplifier, and Nitro Oxide by NEX.
The Major Achievements include: 2007 Super Chevy called it "Top 10 Cars of 2007," Street Machine of the Year Finalist 2004, Custom Rod of the Year Finalist 2004 (This is the only car to be a finalist in two categories). At the SEMA show in Las Vegas it won Speed Channel "Best of Show" pick, and Sony Electronics Feature Display Car. It was Boyd Coddington Pro pick Good Guys Nationals Cols Ohio, Detroit Auditorium 2007 1st Place Radical Custom, Grand National Roadster Show 1st Place Radical Custom, Blackie Gejeian Invitational Feature Car Fresno, CA.
