1939 was the last year Ford produced a four-door convertible and only 3,561 were manufactured, compared to over 10,000 two door convertibles. This unique street rod was professionally re-built in 2004 and has cruised 3,000 miles around Arizona since. Unlike many hot rods this '39 has a very comfortable driving position and plenty of room for kids or car guys to cruse and take long trips.
This is a safe reliable automobile. The original frame is boxed, all lines are new stainless steel, Mustang II front end with power steering, power front breaks are 11" discs; Ford 9" rear end with drum breaks. The engine is a powerful new GM Ram Jet 350 Fuel Injected, new Walker radiator, GM Turbo Hydromantic 350 Transmission. New Haneline gauges are fitted to the original classic dashboard. A Pioneer AM/FM/CD and Vintage heat and air make cruising a joy. Seats are original Ford, covered in heavy gray tweed and top is Mercedes cloth with a grey vinyl boot. This car has passed NSRA safety inspection and. everything works.
