1971 Mercedes Benz 280 SE 3.5 Coupe
Final Bid: $ 44,000.00 - Russo & Steele Auction Scottsdale 2008
The 280 SE 3.5 coupes were Mercedes' first V-8 powered sports cars. The combination of superb performance and elegant styling makes the 3.5 a very desirable car. With the same basic body as the 280 SE six cylinder, the eight cylinder offered new interior, which featured more wood, and leather upholstery was standard. This was a low production car for its day with only 4,502 units produced.
This 2-door coupe is a great vehicle to own and drive. With an electric sunroof, bucket seats, center consol with floor shift, and bare air, this classic would be great to add to any collection. Power windows, original Becker AM/FM radio, well kept and maintained in garage. Classic Showcase has performed a major service, which included a new master cylinder installed with rotors, tune-up, muffler and full vehicle detail. Classic Showcase's master craftsman restored the front seats with new leather. The car has white wall tires and stock hubcaps.
Specifications include: V8 overhead camshaft, Automatic transmission, Independent Front and Rear Suspension, Rear coil springs, rear single joint swing axle, bear air, bucket seats, center consol, electric Sunroof, power windows, Disc brakes, Steel wheels with hubcaps, White walls P205,75R14, Vin # 11102612002381, Stock # MB71-381.
