1961 Pontiacs are becoming very desirable cars particularly these Bubbletop hard tops. The sporty Catalina and Venturas are the most desirable models. This car drives beautifully and looks stunning. She is very fast! Most people mistake her for a Super Duty 61. The red Ventura interior with the stunning black exterior and rare Pontiac 8 lug wheels make it a show stopper. You will love her in your garage. Some of the features include: All original sheet metal and chrome, original standard transmission converted to correct Borg Warner T-10 4 speed. Correct GM Ventura Deluxe Tri-Tone interior, and a custom Autosound Secret Audio AM/FM radio.
The engine includes: a 1970 Pontiac 455 CI V8 bored .030 over. (468 CI), Speed-pro forged pistons, Clevite 77 main and rod bearings, Melling Hi-pressure and hi-volume oil pump, Crower Ram air IV can and lifters, Cloyes true roller timing gear set, and all components are balanced and blue printed. Other features include: Offenhauser aluminum 2- 4 barrel manifold, Twin Carter AVS 650 CFM carbs, Mallory Unilite HEI distributor, Mallory 8mm plug wires, Jacobs Electronics control box, Speed-Pro pistons, Clevite 77 main and rod bearings, Melling hi-pressure and hi-volume oil pump, All components balanced and polished, Crower Ram-Air IV cam and lifters, Cloyes roller timing gear set, Heads: 1967 GTO 670 code cores, New valves with 3 angle grind, Isky poly-lock rocker nuts, 11.5 to 1 compression ratio, Original Offy aluminum valve covers, and dual exhaust with turbo mufflers. The clutch is an 11-inch flywheel and 11 inch Center Force Clutch and pressure plate. The transmission is Borg Warner T-10 4 speed with Hurst Competition Plus Shifter. The rear end is Pontiac POSI with 3:23 gear ratio. The car came to AZ from NM in 1990 and retains all original sheet metal. The paint is Dupont Centari single stage enamel Black. The interior is correct 1961 Pontiac Ventura complete tri-tone interior, Secret Audio hidden AM/FM radio, and Tachometer. The options include: Power Steering, Safe-T- Track Posi rear end, Am radio, and Dual speed wipers.
