This is a true Muscle Car of the 1960's! This Chevelle was originally one of approximately 22,000 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu's purchased in California in 1968. It stayed in California and Arizona it's entire lifetime. She required very little bodywork because it was mostly rust free and without dents and dings. Scott Kennedy (current owner) purchased this car in the fall of 2005, and contracted with Arizona's best, Chevelle Specialties, Inc. to have it completely restored to new condition from nuts to bolts. In October of 2007 (over 2 years later) she was returned to Scott in awesome condition.
With only 200 test miles, she is looking for a new owner who can treat her like the Classic 1960's Muscle Car she truly is. Bill and Joe, owners of Chevelle Specialties, Inc. took great pride in this particular restoration as they realized that very few 1968 Chevelle Malibu's have ever been completely restored to Show Car condition in the United States. A restoration journal from Day One - Completion is available along with complete itemized descriptions of labor, parts, digital photographs and an Independent Classic Car Appraisal.
Numerous Upgrades such as a 400 HP Built-From-Scratch Chevrolet Big Block 396 with Roller Cam, Headers, Holley 4-Barrel Carb, Hurst Shifter, 4 wheel Power Disc Brakes, Electronic ignition, New Wiring, New Suspension Front-Rear, New 12 bolt Rear End, New 5-Speed Transmission, Exhaust system, New Driveshaft, New A/C, Foose 17" Chrome Wheels and H/P racing tires, New Body bushings, window seals, and door seals.
Body was completely striped, prepped and primed. Painted with high quality metallic Blue. This process took over 8 months. New headliners, Leather Bucket seats, door panels, sun visors, stereo, accelerator cable, power locks, glass, quarter windows, heater core, heavy duty radiator, hoses and vacuum lines, and upgraded power steering.
