1959 Ford Thunderbird Coupe

This Thunderbird was sold new January 7, 1960 in Paxton, Nebraska. The original owners were a farmer and his wife who purchased the Thunderbird to celebrate their good crops. The car was driven home and parked in their garage with less than 20 miles on the speedometer. There is sat until 1980 when the second owner purchased it. The original owners felt that owning such a luxurious car would cause their neighbors to be jealous of them, so they never drove it. The second owner put a few miles on the Thunderbird but eventually he put it on display in Grant Nebraska with a "for sale" sign. A doctor's wife, third and current owner, bought the Thunderbird in 1982 because she enjoyed driving "square birds" and had owned one before. Since 1982 the Thunderbird has sat in her heated garage in Whiting, Iowa. The car has been regularly serviced and driven. Reluctantly, she has decided that a serious Thunderbird collector should take charge and preserve this beautiful piece of Ford styling and history. The car is fully documented with the original window sticker, warranty book, Bill of Sale and license renewal receipts. Also, the original tires are included in the trunk. This is probably the lowest original mile 1959 Thunderbird in existence.
