In 1975 after 25 years of spectacular personal accomplishment in the automotive industry, the father of the GTO John Z Delorean founded the Delorean mfr Company and set out to build his dream car. This is one of those cars! The all stainless steel body with an all steel backbone chassis is sealed in a fusion-bonded epoxy to protect it from corrosion. Rack and pinion steering a 2.85 literV/6 valve power plant with Bosh K-Jetronic mechanical fuel injection and 5-speed transmission. It has 4-wheel disc brakes sitting on its original Goodyear NCT steel-belted radials.
This Gullwing Motorcar was originally purchased new in New Mexico and has been owned by one family, handed down from grandfather to grandson and recently traded in on a new automobile, this is how we obtained this car. It has only 11,000 miles and is one of only 8,580 produced by the Delorean Mfr Company.
