This vehicle is a rare 1949 Chevrolet 3100 series panel truck. It has undergone a professional frame off restoration. The frame is a new Fatman Fabs frame with four-link coil over rear suspension, Mustang II front suspension, Carrera adjustable shocks all around and four-wheel disc brakes. The rear axle is a Ford 9 inch with Currie 3rd member and 31 spline axles. The engine is an electromotive fuel injected 383 CI GM V8 built by Tom Nelson Racing Engines and produces 485 HP and 580 foot pounds of torque on pump gas. The transmission is a strengthened 700R 4 four speed automatic with overdrive. American Racing Torque Thrust wheels and Michelin radials complete the performance enhancements. Both the interior and exterior of the truck have been restored in a tasteful classic style but includes such modern amenities as a Vintage Air air-conditioner, power steering, Lokar shifter, Ididit adjustable tilt steering column, Sparco seats and a full complement of auto meter gauges. The truck is a delight to drive, extremely fast and very reliable.
