Description: 1968 GMC C-10 Fleetside Pickup Truck
Final Bid: $ 15,070.00 - Russo & Steele Auction Scottsdale 2008
The seat is the Factory CST seat recovered in Toyota Tweed and Black vinyl. The door panels as well as the headliner and gas tank surround are 'Rod Doors' Dano kit. The idea behind the build was a truck for all occasions. The drag strip, hence the Competition Engineering three link adjustable rear end and the street cruise with 3:73 posi rear end with Air Lift adjustable bags. The engine is a crate 350 H.O. from Chevy along with the 425 HP package from Edelbrock. Line lock for fun at the strip and still maintains about 12 mpg. The front and rear roll pans and rocker panels are from Texas Custom. Trucks and have LED'S for the rear lights. The hood is a 4" cowl induction also from Texas Custom. All of the other sheet metal is original to the truck. Shaved the stake pockets, marker lights front and back, tailgate handle as well as the antenna on the cowl. The new wiring system is a 12 circuit from Painless and has provisions for power windows, locks, AC, cruise control. Fuel system is all new front to back with and fittings thru out. Fuel cell has roll over protection and is foam filled. The tranny has been stuffed with a B&M shift kit, custom fit drive shaft and the posi is an Eaton unit about 500 miles old.

The front suspension is a 2" drop from Western with the front Disc Brake conversion, and rear is still drum brakes. The color is Standox Antique Black. The Ghost flames are also Standox paint. The color, we made as we went along. They start as a dark blue that slowly gets lighter shades of blue until they turn to pearl white tips. The front grill and surround have been powder coated to protect from road rash. Front and back glass are new as well as all the rubber in the truck. The list just goes on and on. All records are with the truck as well as receipts and some pictures of the build.
