1929 Duesenberg Murphy Convertible Coupe
This car, J-200, is a very typical example of the most popular Duesenberg Model J body style, the Murphy Convertible Coupe. Murphy was the most prodigious builder of Duesenberg bodies having produced some 140 of them. Og the approximately 472 Duesenberg Model J cars produced, sixty of them had a version of the Convertible Coupe. This car is the 100th Model J produced and still retains its original v-shaped radiator and does not have the added louvers of later cars. This car was formerly owned by Arthur L. Montgomery who was president of the Atlanta Coca Cola Bottling Company.
