1930 Duesenberg Model J Murphy Dual Cowl Phaeton
This is one of only four dual-cowl phaeton bodies built by the Walter M. Murphy Company, one of the preeminent Duesenberg body manufacturers and at one time a Duesenberg dealer.
This vehicle was discovered in Mexico City in 1960 hidden at the National Airport. Someone had built a cement block wall surrounding the car on all sides. In order to remove the automobile, the walls had to be knocked down. It was purchased and imported into the United States where it was restored in the mid-1960's.
