1930 Rolls-Royce Phantom II Town Car
Coachwork by Brewster
Actress Constance Bennett saw this Rolls-Royce on display at the 1936 New York Automobile Show where she purchased it for approximately $17,000. She later recouped much of the price of the car by renting it to film studios for use in such films as "The King and th Chorus Girl" starring Carole Lombard.
This car was originally built as an experimental chassis, and the factory kept it for more than a year. In 1931, complete with a Trouville Town Car body, it was sent to New York. In 1936, the chassis was re-bodied with this beautiful coachwork by Brewster.
J. B. Nethercutt purchased the car in the late eighties and had it completely restored. In 1992 the car won its "Best of Show" award at the Pebble Beach Concour d'Elegance.
